My name is Brenda Tuminello – Tommi's Aunt who lives in Atlanta.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in April, 2007. I was mortified at the sound of the words: “the biopsy came back positive…..you have cancer.”
I was applying lotion to my body after a shower and felt a knot in my left breast. I tried to pretend I didn't feel it. I tried to ignore the fact that it was there at all. It was the size of a large prune. It wasn't sore, but it was tender to the touch. My first thought was that it was probably just a fibroid-type/benign tumor since I had had one several years ago in my other breast.

My name is Donna Clay. Myself, my incredible husband and my sweet daughter live in Plano, Texas. My life changed in an instance on May 23, 2006 with those words, "Donna, You have cancer". On that unforgettable, mind-blowing day at the age of 34 I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma breast cancer Stage 2b Grade 3 in my left breast. I opted for a lumpectomy on June 8th, 2006. I finished 8 rounds of chemo on Oct 20, 2006. I completed 33 rounds of daily radiation on December 28, 2006. I have survived breast cancer! Getting through my breast cancer diagnosis, surgery, chemo and radiation was one the hardest things I have done in my life. But, it's also the proudest year of my entire life.
